Tidy Boys

The Tidy Boys are living legends in the scene, as proven by the crowds that flock to their roof-raising headline DJ sets at every leading club event and festival around the UK and beyond.

Andy Pickles and Amadeus Mozart, better known as the Tidy Boys, are proof that entertainment, stage presence and packed out venues are still alive and kicking in hard dance today. The Tidy Boys are living legends in the scene, as proven by the crowds that flock to their roof-raising headline DJ sets at every leading club event and festival around the UK and beyond.

Founders of the Tidy Trax label empire, this dynamic duo’s entrepreneurial skills and forward thinking have established Tidy as the undisputed brand leader in hard dance. The Tidy label and offshoot imprints, their numerous compilation CDs, award winning www.tidy.com website, massive Tidy Weekender and Magna events, not to mention their Big Night Out solo events, have meant that the Tidy Boys have been at the centre of all things good in hard dance for a decade now.

The Tidy Boys’ cheeky humour, on stage antics and ability to raise the roof at any dance venue has earned them a massive loyal following, and they’ve been credited with creating the ‘Harder Generation’ of clubbers and music fans around the globe during the hard dance explosion in the late nineties. Their popularity is highlighted by their regular Top 100 DJ status and sell-out events around the globe, while they also present the fastest growing dance show on the Galaxy radio network in the UK each week.

In 2005/6 the Boys headlined key festivals such as Creamfields, Godskitchen Global Gathering, Escape Into The Park, PlanetLove Festival and Dance Valley, while also pulling off the surprise package in Ibiza last summer with the packed out Tidy vs. Extreme events held weekly at Es Paradis - officially the most successful hard dance event in the history of the White Isle. Other notable highlights were winning the M8 Ibiza Hard Dance DJ of the Year Award, the release of another best selling 'Euphoria' CD in the summer, the release of the legendary Big Night Out Album, a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, plus the Tidy Tenth Anniversary celebrations that culminated in a series of special events and the TV advertised 'Music For A Harder Generation - 10 Years Of Tidy' CD release.

With over ten years of dominance in the hard house scene now achieved, the Boys are already making huge strides to stay ahead of the chasing pack with the hugely successful solo project in autumn 2005 called “Tidy Boys Big Night Out”. This solo showcase has seen the Tidy Boys single-handedly sell-out Air, home of Godskitchen in Birmingham, The Opera House in Bournemouth, the Fridge in London and Evolution in Cardiff. Big production, big tunes, big stage presence and big crowds were present at the “Tidy Boys and the Big Night Out”, and this exciting project saw the UK's hottest hard dance act pushing new boundaries in dance music entertainment throughout 2006. Early 2007 saw them take the “Big Night Out” concept one step further taking hard dance into a new territory as they show cased their solo show on the big stages of the UK Carling Academies.  During the summer of 2008 the Tidy Boys had a manic busy summer, they hosted the very successful Tidy Bootcamp which was a week long fun filled clubbing holiday in Ibiza, as well as being Ibiza residence at Advanced Tidy alongside BBCs very own Dave Pearce. Add to this 6 big festivals including Global Gathering & headlining their own arena at Creamfields, plus regular trips playing in Ayia Napa for the first time. 2008 also was year when Mixmag announced after a readers poll that The Tidy Boys were the 20th biggest dance act of all time, just behind Moby at 19 and beating Madonna who came 21st. (Not our words but the readers of Mixmag)  March 2009 see the 10th anniversary of The Tidy Boys and this is the year that the boys always said they would wind things down and go out with a bang! - Limited select gigs this year is a sure sign that we are about to witness the Tidy Boys Atomik Weekender in 2009.
